Save The Arts

Five series print ad campaign for The One Club - Save the Arts

★ Merit Award - The One Club New York -  2014

The 2014 Young Ones Competition brought two briefs with very different approaches to the challenge.

The brief, developed in partnership with 2014 sponsor Serviceplan, was entitled "Save the Arts" and was designed as an open challenge where students could imagine a client and create their own framework for their entry, without any traditional category breakdown.

The aim was use any medium of our choice to shed light on the practise of the arts practise in general. The campaign was created to visually represent the death of expression through the beauty of Ballet.
A Ballerina is known to show elegance and form through the medium of dance. Showing a Ballerina lifeless and twisted conveys a strong visual message of degradation of the arts.

Maddison's Fantasy

Maddison’s Fantasy predominantly has the aims to become a tasteful brand, that has the setback of deficient professionalism within its branding. By focusing primarily on the design outcomes, it allows continuity within the overall branding, leading consumers to feel comfortable with the endurance.

Focusing on the design and photography side allows Maddison’s Fantasy to still remain a brand filled with subculture, but will build a radical transparency approach, allowing consumers to buy into the brand and product. The radical transparency approach not only builds trust, but also signals brand confidence. By doing so leads to alienating less likely buyers, and attracts ideal buyers.

The Brand book shows the design outcomes produced for Maddison's Fantasy rebrand:

- Logo & Identity colour scheme
- Clothing cards
- Swing tags
- Packaging box
- Website design
- Pop up shop
- Mock up client campaigns

As well as producing the Brand book, two Look-books were designed and hand made by myself for promotional use at a recent exhibition. The digital copies are shown, and hardcopies available upon request.
